About Craig:
Craig is from Crawley Down West Sussex, qualified to be a Motor Mechanic
after leaving school. Worked on Fiats, Jaguar and Nissan, but developed
and unhealthy interest in Ford Escort MKII’s. Craig had
driven a MKII from when he passed his licence but lost enthusiasm when it was
stolen in Carlisle whilst following the British RAC Rally in 1992. His interest
was rekindled in 1997 when he was offered a race prepared MKII Escort and could
not resist. Craig quickly took his Racing Licence (ARDS) and was out on the
track within a month. In Craig’s first year he took
3rd In Class B, followed by 2nd In Class and finally his first Class Championship
win in 1999. He successfully defended this class title in 2000 but lost out
coming 2nd again in 2001, 2002 saw Craig fulfil his racing ambition for the
1st time when he took the Ford Saloon Championship Title. 2003 season saw Craig
narrowly beaten in defending this title but he still managed to take Class
B Honours. 2004 would see the Team take a major step and build a Class A Ford
Escort MK2 Cosworth Turbo so would not be looking to do alot in this season.
2005 Saw the debut of the new car and Craig and The Team managed to get every
round completed and came Joint 1st with Malcolm Wise but due to Roll Back Race
Wins Overall Title of Class A went to Malcolm Wise.
